The Brunswick High football team held its “All About the Family” Unity March on Tuesday evening.
Hundreds turned out for the march including BHS coaches, players, administrators, fans, community leaders, supporters and local law enforcement.
Prior to the march, Brunswick High head coach Sean Pender and assistant coach Jason Vaughn both gave spirited speeches while fellow BHS assistant Brian Edwards provided an invocation. Brunswick assistant coach Kregg Richardson emceed the brief ceremony.
The march started in front of the school which faces Altama Avenue. It proceeded south down Altama, turned onto Townsend Street and turned again on Habersham Street with a stop along the route in front of the new BHS baseball field which sits where the old Brunswick High once stood. The march continued on Habersham, turned on Tara Street and then returned to Altama as the participants finished the route back to the high school.
